Anonymous Usage

Username (Random name used by the user)

When you use MedScan AI, you can use a random username. This username:

• Is not linked to your real identity;
• Contains no personally identifiable information;
• Is used solely to maintain your session and preferences within the app;
• Cannot be used by us or others to identify you in real life.

You remain completely anonymous when using MedScan AI. We have no way of knowing your real name, address, or other identifying information unless you voluntarily choose to provide it to us through direct communication (such as emailing us for support).

Images and Videos Uploaded to the App

MedScan AI allows you to upload images and videos for analysis. We want to be completely transparent about how these are handled:

• Limited Use Only: Images and videos are used solely for the purpose of providing the service you requested—specifically, to analyze the content and generate AI-based interpretations using Google's Gemini models.
• Temporary Processing: Images are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers after analysis is complete. After a period they will be completely deleted.
• No Sharing: We do not share your uploaded images or videos with third parties, except as necessary to process them through our AI service providers (Google's Gemini) to generate the analysis you requested.
• No Training Data: Your uploaded content is not used to train or improve AI models unless explicitly stated and with your separate consent. The content is used only for the immediate purpose of your specific request.
• Local Processing: Where possible, processing is done on your device. When cloud processing is required, data is transmitted securely and deleted after a period of time (usually 90 days).

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when you use the Service. This may include details such as your device tokens (especially for push notifications), device model, operating system version, and anonymous usage statistics. This information is used to enhance the app's functionality and security and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Device Permissions

Our Application may request permission to access:

• Camera and Photo Library: This permission is requested only when you choose to upload an image or video for analysis. We access your camera or photos solely for the purpose of allowing you to select or capture content to be analyzed within the app. We do not access, collect, or store any personal images from your device beyond what you explicitly choose to upload for processing.

You can manage these permissions at any time through your device settings. Denying camera or photo access will not affect other app functionality, except for the features that require image uploads.

What We DO NOT Collect

To further protect your privacy, MedScan AI explicitly does NOT collect:

• Your real name;
• Your email address (unless you voluntarily contact us);
• Your home address or physical location;
• Your phone number;
• Government-issued identifiers (passport, driver's license, etc.);
• Financial information (payments are handled entirely by third-party processors like Apple App Store, Google Play Store);
• Biometric data;
• Health information that could identify you (all medical content is processed anonymously).

How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect for:

• Service Provision: To analyze your uploaded images and provide AI-generated interpretations;
• Service Improvement: To understand how users interact with the app and improve functionality (using only aggregated, anonymous data);
• Technical Support: To respond to your inquiries if you contact us (any personal information you share in emails will be used only to respond to your specific request);
• Security: To maintain the security and integrity of our service.

Data Retention and Deletion

Images and Videos

Images and videos uploaded for analysis are not permanently stored. They are processed temporarily to generate the AI interpretation and are then deleted from our systems after a period (usually 90 days). In some cases, encrypted thumbnails may be temporarily cached to improve user experience, but these are automatically deleted after a short period.

Usage Data

Anonymous usage data may be retained for longer periods to help us understand app performance and user engagement. This data is aggregated and cannot be linked back to you.

Account Information

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is no traditional "account" to delete. Your random username and associated preferences can be reset at any time by deleting the app.

Third-Party Services

AI Processing (Google Gemini)

MedScan AI uses Google's Gemini models to generate interpretations of uploaded content. When you upload an image or video, it is transmitted to Google's servers for processing. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Google processes this data solely to provide the AI analysis service and does not use it for its own independent purposes.

Payment Processing

All payments and subscription management are handled by third-party platforms:

• Apple App Store: If you download the app from the Apple App Store, payments are processed by Apple. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Store: If you download the app from Google Play, payments are processed by Google. Please review Google's Privacy Policy.

Important: The Developer does not have access to your payment information. All billing and payment data is handled directly by the respective payment processors according to their own privacy policies and terms.

Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.
